From the first hushed vocal and cheery synth line joan had me hook, line and sinker with this absolute bop of a track ‘love somebody like you’.

Described as a duo ‘with a penchant for mom jeans and offbeat vintage piano‘ the Little Rock natives ooze charm and charisma throughout the 3:48 of pure indie-pop bliss. The 80’s aesthetic is working well in the boy’s favour with the track, a mixture of softly spoken lyrics of unrequited love crooned over 80’s styles synths and basslines that all burst forth in a tear up the dancefloor chorus… oh did I mention there’s a motha flippin saxophone too?

The duo elaborate – “love somebody like you is a song for someone that you obsess over. they seem out of reach, but you can’t help but to take a chance and go after them“.
