How often do you see an upbeat contemporary synth driven cover of a classic rock song? Not too often enough if you’re asking me, but that’s exactly what LA based singer/songwriter Chelsea Lankes has managed to pull off.
Managing to completely re-envision the classic Motely Crue track “Too Young To Fall In Love” from a rock classic to an soaring synth track worthy of dancing is a task not many could pull off as good as Miss. Lankes has. Hair Rock bought to contemporary synth-pop it’s something brilliant from the thundering baselines to the popping synth pads that come in atop a steadily growing chords.
Miss. Lankes will be performing showcases across SXSW so if you’re in Texas be sure to drop into one of them. Her previous track “Down For Whatever” and “Too Young To Fall In Love” are both on iTUNES HERE and you can check out the track bellow.
